Life Update

With all the big changes that are going around me, here’s one more to add to the mix – I’m moving back to New York! My CEO announced yesterday that we landed a really big school district within the New York public school system, and we would need to support their school district as much as possible (as well as allow us to support other East Coast districts), so it made more sense to have people there. Yesterday was pretty crazy, sorting out how it would work with the engineering team here and the curriculum team there, but I’m excited to move back to the big city with new dreams and goals.

Ha! Just kidding, Happy April Fool’s, everyone. I wish I was moving back to New York. (But landing the school district in NY isn’t fake, it’s true! And really exciting. That particular school district is among the highest poverty school districts in the United States, so it’s great that we can be partnering with a school that has more needs than some of the more affluent ones in the West Coast.) It seems like everyone and their mom’s cousin’s daughter is moving to New York, or at least the East Coast. But I’ve planted my roots a little too firmly here in the Bay Area as of now, so I think it will take a major life upset (more than just work sending me over there, haha) for me to move back…
