Photo Week #38

My bridesmaids hosted my bridal shower this past weekend and it made me super excited to continue this celebration portion of engagement. It feels like it’s just been me and Jeremiah planning (plus our parents too) and the whole process has just been logistics and stress and trying to get all the details settled. But this past weekend reminded me that it really is a celebration and it’ll be a joy to celebrate with some really, really great people. Five more weeks!

I put together these cute little baggies of snacks along with Justine’s help as the favors… at first I was just going to use a sticker label, but due to a failure to print on the sticker paper (I should have known to check ink jet or laser jet!!! My old manager at Paper Source would be disappointed in me) Justine came up with this new idea and it turned out so cute. We asked James to compliment them several times while we were making them because we wanted to feel validated in their cuteness.

It was definitely weird being on this side of the party planning and not helping to arrange things, make things, clean up… I was isolated in my house the whole day while all my closest friends were literally across the street from me putting things together. I am so lucky to have these women in my life who have been with me through so many life stages and decide to still stick with me even though I take too long to unwrap presents and don’t like socializing. Thank you!
