Photo Week #22

My tiger mom persona came out again this past week - Junie was getting frustrated while practicing writing her name (her ”e” looked like her “p”) and I wanted her to not give up and keep practicing. I think “don’t give up” is a good life lesson to learn (and something I need to remind myself of more often) but maybe for a 3 year old it’s more beneficial to just… take a break and move on. Which is also good lesson - knowing when to stop and take a break!

And - she’s only 3! I need to remember what she’s capable of and what is developmentally appropriate... and remember that there is still time to build resilience in Junie. All is not lost just because we did not sit for 30 minutes practicing “e” on a random weekday morning until she ”got it right”. Everything willl be okay…
