Photo Week #25

Summer is the best! Long nights, sunny days, the best produce - it's great. I could do with a few less >90 degree days, but even those are not too bad when there's something to look forward to. This past Saturday, Junie had a birthday party where every toddler had bright red cheeks from the sun but had a delightful time running around - then we went up to Sonoma for wine tasting at Scribe (thanks Sam!) with really great food and wine. Junie colored and ran around and watched Paw Patrol and it was a great end to the day. I always do feel guilty about the amount of screen time we just throw at her when we're out and about, but sometimes... that's what it takes. Sigh.

Anyways. I'm sure this will be a constant journey of figuring out how to adapt so that we can accommodate Junie while making sure we don't sacrifice too much of our own lives. Some days it's easier, some days it's harder.. and I feel dumb even just writing this down because this is probably just a basic truth of parenting. The only constant is that there is no constant!!!
